For the entire month of May, Pru will play host to a hugely impactful clothing drive in support of WINGS — the largest domestic violence housing agency in Illinois. Colliers, the expert management team behind Pru, has teamed up with Women’s Network Clothing Drive to help collect clothing and accessories, all of which will be donated to the local individuals who require emergency, transitional or permanent housing, as well as both counseling and mentoring.

With Mother’s Day just around the corner, there’s no better time to show your support and give back to local women and children in need. While domestic violence takes many forms, from willful intimidation to verbal abuse, a woman is assaulted or beaten every nine seconds in the United States. Your donation will support WINGS’ mission to provide a safe space for individuals and families in distress, as well as help the victims move forward to live self-sufficient and independent lives.

If you’d like to get involved, please drop off your donations in the Pru mezzanine by our security desk, open 6am to 8pm daily. If you’re unsure as to what qualifies for a donation, here are the items we will happily accept in bags or boxes for women, men and children:

  • Business professional suits
  • Professional separates including blouses, slacks, skirts, dresses, blazers, sweaters and jackets
  • Casual separates including shirts, jeans, dresses, sweaters and coats
  • Professional shoes (flats, heels, boots)
  • Scarves
  • Handbags
  • Jewelry
  • Scrubs
  • Professional maternity apparel
  • Non-slip footwear

All items should be gently used or new, in current ready-to-wear condition.

Pru is proud to support impactful organizations like WINGS, and we look forward to continuing to provide a platform for change-makers throughout Chicago. If you have any questions about contributing or want to get involved, please get in touch with Greer Worthington, VP of Culture and Hospitality, at Greer.Worthington@colliers.com today.
